Guided tour of the bastide founded in 1280 by the Viscountess of Marsan and the Knights Hospitallers of Saint John of Jerusalem (later the Order of Malta). Discover the tormented history of this warrior town, now a peaceful village of character.
Three octagonal towers have been preserved from its warrior past, as well as a walkway lined with flowers along the ancient ramparts and a curious chambre d'arrêt. Its beautiful arcaded square and half-timbered houses are typical of south-western bastides. Stroll along the heritage trail, lined with plaques recounting the town's history.
