Eglise Notre Dame

In Perquie, very close to the castle of Ravignan, the church of Notre-Dame stands, massive, with its three apses, its transept, its high single nave and its bell tower. It belonged to a former monastery founded in 1108.
Around 1860, the architect Ozanne carried out numerous repairs, built a sacristy and erected a new bell tower without however modifying the original plan. In spite of the vaults dating for the most part from the 13th century, few old carved elements are present. On a capital, two lions standing on their hind legs recall the decoration of the chevet of the cathedral of Aire. Three stained glass windows are remarkable: Saint Bartholomew, Saint Michael slaying the dragon and above all the Father and the Son crowning the Virgin under the dove of the Spirit. A funerary litre and a stone bas-relief bearing the arms of the Pommies evoke the illustrious figures buried here
