Just inland from the Atlantic coast, the Landes are home to a unique collection of large lakes with crystal clear waters and sandy beaches, surrounded by a protective forest. It is a paradise for swimming, water sports, fishing and relaxation. Everything here is calm and serene.

In the far north of the Landes, near the Dune du Pilat, Lake Cazaux-Sanguinet is the second largest lake in France with an area of 55 km2. Close behind is Lake Parentis-Biscarrosse with an area of 35 km2 and then, further south, are the Lakes of Aureilhan, Leon, Soustons and Port-d’Albret, the black and white lakes of Seignosse, and the marine lake of Hossegor. There is no denying that there are so many paradises to discover for yourself.
Whether it is sailing, windsurfing, kite-surfing, wakeboarding, water skiing, towed buoys, stand-up paddles or simply cruising by boat, canoe or pedal boat…From the calmest to the most adventurous, you can do all kinds of water sports on most of the lakes in the Landes.
