Les Chênaies de l'Adour

The Landes forest is not just an ocean of maritime pines! Between Adour, Louts and Luy, the kingdom of the pedunculate oak is established. A beautiful oak forest stretches over several hectares on the banks of the Adour. The calm and the song of the birds will enable you to benefit fully from this natural space. In Laurède, this forest is maintained by goats! During a free walk, you will see a herd of goats. The Prince's goats, a goatherd, releases its 100 alpine breed goats in the Laurède forest. Ask for the topo guide n°4 Haute Chalosse which will give you the route of the walking and cycling loop passing through the oak groves. You can also discover the oak groves on the Sentier de l'Adour from Dax to Saint-Sever (passing through Laurède), a treat for mountain bikers and nature lovers!
