La Forêt d'Art Contemporain : Coeur Chaud Bois d'Aquitaine, oeuvre n°01

Cœur chaud Bois d'Aquitaine, Émilie Perotto, Arue, 2011. Programmation : Laurent Le Deunff. La Forêt d'Art Contemporain, these are contemporary works, scattered throughout the forest massif. Located in Arue, this monumental sculpture (11 m high) is called "Coeur chaud bois d'Aquitaine"
Made of wood and metal, this work was created in 2011, two years after the ravages of the Klaus storm on the Landes forest massif. Beyond its size, reminiscent of the height of the pines, it is a true symbol of the post-storm period. "In the context of the Forest of Contemporary Art, I imagine this sculpture, updated as a kind of fetish, a good-luck charm to the devastated forest, as a symbol of the fragility of the verticality of the forest, both in the face of clear-cutting and the storm..." Emilie Perotto
