Eglise Sainte Madeleine

Saint Madeleine’s Church dates back to the 13th and 16th centuries. Its Gothic architectural style from the 13th century is rare in rural areas of the Landes and Pyrenees-Atlantiques regions. The porch of the bell tower built at the end of the 17th century is a distinguishing feature of bell towers in the Pays d'Orthe area (Orthevielle, Hastingues, Bélus, etc.). The remaining portal dates from the first half of the 13th century just like the triumphal arch inside whose column capitals are adorned with almost Romanesque leaves.
