Eglise Saint Laurent
The fortified church Saint-Laurent de Carcarès is located on a hillock. A sloping staircase leads to a large entrance porch. Its bell-tower carries a hoarding. Traces of loopholes and archers.
Inside, there is the 17th century bust of Saint-Girons in gilded wood, the 14th century statue of the seated Virgin, in gilded and polychrome wood, striking in its majesty, numerous paintings including those of Saint-Laurent, Saint-Jérôme, Saint-Pierre, and a baroque altarpiece, very gilded, with torsed columns.
