Eglise Saint-Hippolyte

From medieval times one can still see the remains of the 13th century Saint Hippolyte church, built in bricks with stong buttresses and a square tower. Inside is a 15th century frescoe depicting the martyr of Saint Catherine.

The first formal marker of Villeneuve's past is engraved on the side of one of the bells: "I have been cast in bronze for the first time in the year 1000..."
