Eglise Saint-Barthélémy

The church of Meilhan certainly does not fall into the category of "ancient churches" which AEAL has been working to preserve and promote since its creation. Indeed, a restoration carried out at the beginning of the 1960s removed the last witness of its origins, a small three-lobed window from the 14th century discovered in the north wall of the chevet.

The interest of the building is elsewhere: it is in the introduction of a new architectural and decorative party which corrected the banality of the architecture and brought to it an air of radiant festivity favorable to both meditation and the expression of a living liturgy.
