Eglise Saint Barthélemy

The church of St. Bartholomew was founded in the second half of the 12th century and its most remarkable feature is its portal dating from that period.

In Romanesque style, it develops the essence of the Christian mystery. Its tympanum shows Christ in majesty, inscribed in a mandorla, seated on a throne of glory and surrounded by the four evangelists: Saint Matthew, Saint John, Saint Mark and Saint Luke. The tympanum is surmounted by voussures. Their five ornaments represent the beauty and joy of life with God.
