Château de Marrast et son jardin remarquable

Situated in the middle Adour valley halfway between Mont de Marsan and Aire sur l'Adour, the castle, a country Louis XVI style manor house, was built in 1789 on the site of an old noble house of the Lartigue seigniory.
In harmony with the building, the structure of its ardin is in its center that of a French garden, bordered by groves and plantations less regular, reminiscent of English gardens. Rigueurs and fantasy also come together in the well-symmetrical rose beds with numerous varieties of roses all mixed together. Florence cypresses along the brook basin and around the rose garden accentuate the regular layout of the garden and, at the same time, give the garden an Italian scent.
