Arènes Jean Lafittau

Listed in the supplementary inventory of historical monuments, they were built with the help of volunteers in 1954, under the direction of the architect Prunetti. They are oval in shape, built in reinforced concrete and cement agglomerate, painted white on the facades. They are uncovered and have a capacity of 1800 seats.
They are named after Jean Lafittau, a great "écarteur landais" from Amou. Every year, Landes races take place in the bullring as well as two festivals: Amousicaña in July and Chansons et Mots d'Amou in August.
