The Mons architect Franck Bonnefous drew the plan and the volunteers of the village of Bascons ensured its construction

They bear the name of Jean de Lahourtique whose portrait (work of Cel Le Gaucher) surmounts the entrance door

These arenas made of pine wood are listed as monuments
historical.
