Your itinerary

1

Step 1

You will leave Léon by the road to Dax, after 400m you will take the Léon-Soustons cycle track to Moliets-et-Mâa. This track, which is very popular in summer, runs through a pine forest.
2

Step 2

In Moliets, take the D328 towards Vielle-Saint-Girons. On your left, you will see an old wash house and a little further on the right, a round trip that will allow you to discover the Saint-Laurent-de-Mâa chapel and some old Landes houses. You will then arrive at the Pichelèbe bridge over the Courant d'Huchet, the starting point for walking tours. 3km after the bridge, you will take the Vélodyssée which will lead you to Contis plage. Formerly a narrow concrete track, a remnant of the Atlantic Wall, it has since been tarmacked.
3

Step 3

For 17 km you will ride through the pine trees, hearing the sound of the ocean waves in the distance, and the wind in the peaks. In Contis, you can make a small diversions to visit the only lighthouse on the Landes coast. In Lit-et-Mixe, don't forget to visit the "Landes d'Antan" museum before heading to Uza and its lake. Only a few ruins of the old forges remain.

Step 4

After Lévignacq, you will take the road to Linxe, still in the pines, and head towards Saint-Michel-d'Escalus. Finally, return to Léon where you can rest on the edge of the lake and try a boat trip on the Courant d'Huchet and its nature reserve.
