Lit-et-Mixe is a small village set back from the coast, in the middle of the forest, at the crossroads of the great natural spaces characteristic of this part of the Landes: pine forests bordered by deserted beaches stretching as far as the eye can see. This vast territory has turned towards green tourism with many natural areas and small campsites which are very much appreciated by families in search of peace and quiet. It is a place of wild beaches, like the one in Cap de l’Homy: a small municipal campsite, a restaurant, a handful of houses set on the dune and that’s all. The rest is untouched, majestic spaces, endless waves for surfers of all levels, walking and cycling paths.
