Ferme Eslous

In Hinx en Chalosse, 10 km from Dax, producer from generation to generation, Nicole Dutouya raises and feeds her fat ducks with corn, to make a wide range of traditional preserves: foie gras, confits, rillettes, 7 kinds of pâtés, 6 kinds of cooked dishes... Walking around the farm, you will also find pigs, cows, chickens, sheep and goats. So many animals that will delight young and old alike. On leaving the farm, turn right and discover the old port of Hinx, one of the most important embarkation points for the transport of Chalosse wines and timber until 1899. Sit on the benches provided and imagine a pier with barges loaded with hundreds of barrels of wine! Nearby, take the Voie Verte, an old railway line, on foot, by bike or on horseback.
