Ferme du Haut Pouyet

The Ferme du Haut Pouyet is located in Saint-Aubin, in a lush green corner of the Landes region called Chalosse. It is a few minutes’ drive from Mugron, which boasts superb views of the Adour Valley, a heritage trail in the centre of town and Chalosse’s Voie Verte greenway passing through it. Poyaller Mill is a kilometre away, where you can take a nature break surrounded by animals and the Gouaougue stream.
In 30 years of business, Vincent hasn’t changed a thing in the know-how passed down to him from his mother. As a sign of his product quality, many former fatteners come to stock up at the farm, because they find exactly the same ducks there as the kind they raised themselves in the past. The ducks are reared on grassy pastures and then fattened with maize grown on site. In the interest of the animals’ welfare, the ducks are fattened in an open room facing the Pyrenees.
