Where are the dead? Where do they go? Do we need a grave to remember them? Are we our bodies, and if so, what remains of us when they decay?... Don’t count on Éric Fiat, philosopher emeritus, to provide you with answers during this lecture. He does something better: he helps us not to forget to ask questions and, in the face of absence, to constantly rephrase them so we can better savor life.

Drawing freely on the novel *Death with Interruptions* by José Saramago (1998 Nobel Prize in Literature), Aurélia Ciano gently guides us in demystifying our relationship with life in a world where Death herself decides to lay down her scythe. A comedy full of tenderness in which
