Old School Funky Family

In its 18 years of existence, the Old School Funky Family has performed more than 300 concerts and released four albums, and still has a fierce desire to spread its groove across stages in France and Europe.

With a relentless rhythm section (sousaphone, drums, guitar, keyboards) and a high-flying saxophone quartet (soprano, alto, tenor, baritone), the instrumental octet has refined an artistic vision increasingly focused on composition, thereby forging a unique identity.

Drawing on the influences of artists such as Maceo Parker, Roy Hargrove, Vulfpeck (funk), and even Fela Kuti (Afrobeat), the whimsical and multifaceted world of OSFF blends and subverts styles while showcasing the timbres of its original instrumentation.
