Festival La Maison Africaine - Ah! Kwantou

The AH! KWANTOU brings together the singer and guitarist from Ghana, Kyekyeku (pronounced tche?tche?kou), and a band of excellent musicians, all based in the south-west of France, to create an astonishing musical mix of highlife, soul, afrobeat and funk, drawing on the Atlantic heritage. It was on the shores of this ocean that the meeting of these groove enthusiasts, fanatics of African polyrhythmic exuberance, gave birth to an eponymous debut album: AH! KWANTOU, which alone testifies to the fragility of the music of the Black Atlantic, and its actuality... for those who know how to marry it with love, respect and the desire to make people dance.
