Exposition Emazteak, portraits de femmes basques
Series: %AB Feminine Figures %BB
An exhibition organized by the Ospitalea Departmental Center for Heritage Education, part of the Pyrénées-Atlantiques Department, in collaboration with the City of Tarnos.
This exhibition stems from a participatory initiative by the group Les Bask’elles, which collected profiles of remarkable women—both well-known and lesser-known—who have left their mark on the history of the Basque Country.
The exhibition pays tribute to them through 10 portraits of women from all walks of life, past and present.
The portraits were created by street artist Marika GYSBERG, alias MoG, driven by a desire to explore and showcase these incredible women—and perhaps to inspire other women.
Open to all / Free admission during the library’s opening hours.
