Causerie « Fenaisons et prairies usagères »
Vast tracts of grassland (44 Ha) were in common use at Préchacq-les-Bains and Goos. These areas were collectively owned until the 20th century. They were used for a variety of ritualized activities: haymaking, grazing and communal maintenance.
You'll hear the stories of old farmers in 2004 and 2024, and travel back to a time when people worked by hand, named things and plants in Gascon, and when young men tended the herds.
You'll observe the profound changes that have taken place in society and individuals over the course of two or three generations.
These upheavals impact, among other things, our relationship with nature, work, property, collective rituals and language.
