Itinerary adapted for people equipped for the practice of canoe-kayak. Favourable navigation period: June 15 to September 15.
The Adour is an important river for migratory fish as well as for the European mink. Its minor bed as well as its banks are classified Natura 2000 site. Under this name are hidden rich natural habitats sheltering an exceptional flora and fauna. It is a mobile and living river, it is not excluded that the course can include logjams which can represent a danger for the practice of the canoe.
Course: 3 thresholds generating 2 bypasses. The 1st one implies 180m of portage and the 2nd one 200m. The last weir at Toulouzette is equipped with a mixed pass for fish and boats on the left side of the structure.
