Journées du Patrimoine - Lesperon, mon village où je suis née
A native of Lesperon, a village steeped in history marked by resin tapping and the passage of pilgrims on the Way of St. James, Marie-Jo invites you on a stroll through the heart of her childhood.
Starting at the bandstand—which hasn’t always stood where it is today—you’ll wander through the village streets where shops, the prison, and resin harvesting were once part of daily life.
Throughout the tour, she will also discuss the pilgrims of Santiago de Compostela, whose memory is immortalized by a large mural. Streams, a bamboo grove, a wash house, and architectural heritage will also punctuate this charming exploration.
You’ll be charmed by the simple, authentic, and warm atmosphere of this beautiful village nestled between the ocean and a pine forest.
