Visite de la Maison du Patrimoine Castandétois
For the 2026 season, the Maison du Patrimoine Castandétois is open to the public every 1st Saturday of the month from March to October, from 2pm to 5pm. A land of pottery and potters, Castandet is famous for this activity, whose origins are lost in the mists of time. However, it was mainly in the 19th century and up to a quarter of the 20th century that this activity reached its apogee. Castandet potters made all kinds of fire-resistant household utensils: pots and coffeepots of all sizes, bowls, plates, jam jars, colanders, cheese strainers, bottles, bowls, basins, etc? A collection recovered over the years and brought to light in the Maison du Patrimoine Castandétois, open since 2024. Guided tour of this precious collection by members of the Amis du Patrimoine Castandétois association. Reservations required for the rest of the year.
