Leave Montfort-en-Chalosse in the direction of Mugron. When you reach Mugron, stop by Rouge Garance, an old wine storehouse converted into a home décor shop and art gallery. Its wooden rafters are amazing! Next, head towards the charming village of Montaut, then leave the greenway as you head for Maylis, where you can discover the abbey where monks make herbal tea and polishing wax. Depending on the weather, you may be able to see the Pyrenees: you’ll feel like you’re inside a postcard! Then head towards Caupenne and Baigts (and the craft soap studio Casa Nature). Back in Montfort-en-Chalosse, stop by the Tourist Office to request a map of the fortified town’s walking tour.
